Susan Scoccia

I was educated at Watford Grammar School for Girls and then took a bi-lingual secretarial course at the Institut Francais du Royaume Uni, South Kensington. From there I went to Italy for 14 months to learn Italian.

I returned to London in 1979 and had a number of jobs in the food and catering industry and in particular enjoyed running Ciao Italia G.B., the Association of Italian Restauranteurs in Great Britain for a number of years.

We came to the Isle of Wight in 1994 to bring up our two daughters in a safer and healthier environment and I keep the accounts of our business, working from home.

I work hard to represent the residents of Ventnor and although I don’t hold regular surgeries I am only too pleased to visit residents to listen to their concerns.

I said in my pre-election address that if elected I would work hard to represent the views of Ventnor residents in County Hall and I will be true to my promise.

I have joined the Isle of Wight Independent Group which is a loose affiliation of all 10 non-party political councillors whose sole objective is to put the needs of their residents first. Our group has no permanent leader and was formed only to ensure Independents receive their fair share in the allocation of seats within committees.
